For two decades, Capitol Language Services, LLC (now known as CLS) has been a cornerstone in our community, providing exceptional before and after-school care that parents trust and children love. As a local, independent business with deep roots in the community, we've perfected the balance between structured learning and joyful exploration that helps children thrive beyond regular school hours.

PROGRAM OPTIONS AND FEES
- Before care: $173/month
- Package of 10 morning drop-ins: $210 (limit one package per school year). 24-hour notice required for each drop-in.
Deposit Requirement: For monthly services, a non-refundable deposit equal to one month's tuition is required to secure your child's spot. With at least 30 days' notice, this deposit will be applied to the last month of enrollment.

Before care is held inside the school, daily, from 7:30 AM to 8:35 AM
DETAILS
When children come in before their day begins, they can do the following: read independently, have story time, and play educational games with the instructors (such as Legos, Apples to Apples, etc.) CLS instructors transition the children to their daytime teachers

HOW TO ENROLL
Follow these steps to complete your child's registration and secure their spot.

Create or log into your Procare account
Procare is the registration system we use for enrollment and payments. If you're new, create a free account. If you already have one, log in to continue.

Open available registrations
Returning familiesOnce logged in, check the Alerts section of your MyProcare dashboard to find open registrations.
- Look for the blue “View” button next to “Registrations are available”
- Select “Begin Re-Registration” to start the process

Select your child and choose a session
Pick the program session that works best for your family's schedule.
- Select your child from your account profile
- Use the green “Register” button to browse open sessions
- Choose the session that fits best and confirm your selection

Secure your spot
A deposit is required to hold your child's spot. After enrollment is confirmed, you'll receive an authorization form to set up your recurring monthly payment schedule through Procare.

Important details
The enrollment period is the only time to submit new enrollments, schedule changes, or withdrawals for the upcoming trimester — for all programs including before-school, after-school, and enrichment classes.
To make any change, please submit a schedule change/withdrawal form during the enrollment period stated above. For example, if your child attends Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in Trimester 1 but needs to switch to Tuesday and Friday for Trimester 2, a schedule change form must be submitted during Trimester 2's enrollment period.
Not riding the bus? CLS can register your child for before-school and after-school with a 10 business days' notice — no need to wait for the enrollment period.
Please note: Communicating a change to the Brent school administration does not automatically update your CLS enrollment. Parents are responsible for submitting both the bus survey to the Brent administration and the CLS enrollment/change/withdrawal form to CLS during the enrollment period.
CLS AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our after-school program is held at Meyer Swing Space - 2501 11th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001, from 3:00 PM to 6 PM, Monday- Friday, following DCPS Calendar.
Our after-school structure includes snack time (not provided by CLS), outdoor time, a fun activity together such as arts and crafts for Pre-K through 1st grade, or STEM and indoor activities for the upper grades.
Children are dismissed by their morning teacher to our CLS team, from inside the building.
Instructions and further details will be sent to families prior to the first day of school.

Your child can be picked up anytime, either from the playground or through the main entrance.
The first days, coordinators will check IDs.
FAQ
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER PAYING THE DEPOSIT?
Your enrollment process begins with a deposit payment through Procare. Once completed, you'll receive a link to set up your recurring monthly payments, which will run from September 2025 through May 2026. Your initial deposit will be applied to your final month's tuition (June 2026). Completing this step is necessary to secure your enrollment. For more details about all applicable fees, please refer to our Parent Handbook.
HOW ARE MONTHLY FEES CALCULATED?
Tuition is calculated based only on days when school is in session throughout the academic year. This total is divided into ten equal monthly installments, so your payment remains the same each month regardless of how many program days occur in any given month. We do not offer per-day billing or monthly prorations for student absences.
DOES CLS OFFER FINANCIAL AID?
Yes, CLS provides financial assistance for families in need. Please complete this application to be considered for financial aid.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY STATEMENT/MONTHLY RECEIPTS?
- Log in to your Procare account
- Click on the "View Account Ledger" link in the account balance section on the right
- Navigate to the "Reports" section
- Select "Customer Statement"
- Click "Run Report".
