CLS is a local and independent business that has been around for 18 years. We believe that our extensive experience in creating after-school programs has brought us where we are. All the programs are safe and offer structured after-school time to your children.
We are honored to provide aftercare for the schools we serve, and we can't wait to start another school year!

CLS AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our after-school program is held at St Paul's Lutheran Church, across the street from Murch Elementary School, from 3:00 PM to 6 PM, Monday- Friday. CLS teachers pick up the children from the school.

Starting Monday, December 2, CLS will run the before and after-school program inside the school building.

Our after-school structure includes snack time, outdoor time, a fun activity together such as arts and crafts for Pre-K through 1st grade, or STEM, homework assistance, and indoor activities for the upper grades.

CLS does not offer drop ins or an option to sign up for less than 5 days a week. If you register with us and your child will only attend on certain days, you will be have to notify us at murch@capitollanguageservices.com

Children are dismissed by their morning teacher to our CLS team.

Instructions and further details will be sent to families prior to child's first day in after-school.

HOW WILL MY CHILD'S SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?

Typical afternoon Pre-K through 1
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Attendance and snack time
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Outdoor Recess, Spanish or Dance
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM Manual activity and/or indoor games
5:45 PM – 6:00 PM Dismissal

Typical afternoon grades 2-5
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Attendance and snack time

Your child can be picked up anytime, either from the playground or through the main entrance.
The first days of attendance, coordinators will check IDs.

BEFORE CARE

Before care will open the first day of school.

SCHEDULE
Before care is held inside the school, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, Mon-Fri.
When children come in before their day begins, they can do the following: read independently, have story time, and play educational games with the instructors (such as Legos, Apples to Apples, etc.)
CLS instructors transition the children to their daytime teachers.

PRICE
The cost is $165/month.

SPANISH

SCHEDULE

Each session is 1 hour long, twice a week, and will start Tuesday, September 3. Before registering, please check the schedule below according to the location you are registering for.

1st and up – New students* - Mondays and Wednesdays - 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM @St Paul's Lutheran Church
K- 1st – Returning student** - Mondays and Wednesdays - 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM @St Paul's Lutheran Church
Pre-K and K – New students - Tuesdays and Thursdays - 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM @St Paul's Lutheran Church
2nd and up – Returning students - Tuesdays and Thursdays - 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM @St Paul's Lutheran Church

New student* = a student that is a beginner in Spanish and has never been exposed to Spanish, either at home, at a bilingual school, or at CLS.
Returning student**= a student that has some knowledge in Spanish and has been exposed to Spanish at home, bilingual school, or at CLS.

PRICE

$180/month for CLS students enrolled in after-school

A deposit is due at registration. For more information regarding the deposit, please refer to our Parent Handbook. This price includes the registration fees, as well as the material contribution.

DETAILS ABOUT THE CLASS

Each class includes one or a set of objectives that target the acquisition of a specific structure and focus on the active “reproduction” of the language.

The children will gradually combine vocabulary and structures and learn how to use some of them. From the beginning, the students will learn how to form simple sentences (questions and answers) through small role-plays. Active role-plays will encourage the children to listen, ask and answer simple questions. All the classes are connected to each other and act as “building blocks”. We review old elements and recombine them with new ones, gradually forming new and more complex sentence incorporating broader vocabulary.

Our native-speakers instructors focus on active listening and repetition (with emphasis on correct pronunciation) and speaking. The Language Program uses an age-appropriate Spanish method as one of the tools for learning the language.

DANCE WITH TIPPI TOES

Join Tippi Toes® for a high-energy dance class designed to keep boys and girls engaged in continual motion from the first step to the last beat. Our positive, upbeat classes are based on original, imaginative, and FUN music which has hit the Billboard charts! This class allows students to exercise their bodies and imaginations while getting a wonderful introduction to dance! All dancers will have the opportunity to participate in our Winter Recital on a true stage mid-December for an additional participation fee. Classes are once a week (Wednesdays) and will begin on Wednesday, September 18. Each session is 1 hour long. Classes are taught by a fabulous Tippi Toes Teacher who will help students build dance skills, confidence, and community.

$98/month.

ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION DATES

If families enroll and pay the deposit through ProCare by Sunday, November 17, 11:59 PM EST: their child will start on Monday, December 2.
Enrollment will be closed from Monday, November 18 to Monday, December 2.
If families enroll and pay the deposit through Procare pay the deposit after Monday, December 2: Their child will start 10 business days after CLS' Office receives your registration. The starting date will be confirmed via e-mail.

TUITION FEES

CLS fees are calculated for the school year by counting ONLY the days school is open. Tuition is the same every month regardless of the number of program days in each month. Tuition is calculated for the school year program and billed in ten equal monthly installments, starting August 1st, 2024. CLS does not bill on a per diem basis or prorate the month if your child is absent or if school is closed due to a break. CLS offers financial aid to families that aren't able to pay the full price. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAM
We require a 30-day notice to withdraw from the program. Thus, parents are not responsible for any other payment if the withdrawal form is submitted within this time frame. Withdrawals can be made using this link.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU HAVE PAID THE DEPOSIT?

You will receive a link to set up a recurring payment. Your deposit will apply to June 2025. If you have more questions regarding CLS Fees, please refer to our Parent Handbook.
